History

Nearly three centuries, and a new life.

Once the summer residence of the prelates of Villeneuve, extended in 1807, Blanche Haut now welcomes guests looking for peace and quiet.

At a glance

Manoir Blanche Haut was built in 1737 as the summer residence of the prelates of Villeneuve-sur-Lot, then extended in 1807 to its present form. Véronique and Thierry Raux, who ran the Au Bon Accueil restaurant in Limeuil (Dordogne), have made it their guest house and restaurant.

An 18th-century manor turned family home

After running the Au Bon Accueil restaurant in Limeuil, in the Dordogne, Véronique and Thierry Raux fell for Blanche Haut and created their guest house and restaurant there. The original walls, mouldings and high ceilings are still here; they refurbished and furnished every room to make it a true family home, with today's comforts.
